Texas Man Arrested for Huffing Stolen Canned Air

In Wichita Falls, a man was arrested for huffing canned air in a store parking lot. Officers were called because he appeared under the influence of an inhalant and was trying to shoplift more canned air to continue. A store employee was the first to notice the man huffing in the clothing section of the store. He was arrested for possession of inhalant paraphernalia with the intent to inhale; his charge for theft was dropped.

Man Broke into a Store to Huff in the Restroom

A man was arrested for breaking into a store and ultimately was found huffing duster in the restroom. The 26-year-old was charged with burglary, shoplifting, and public intoxication.

Man Steals Car and Shoplifts Duster

A teacher in Stamford, Connecticut, reported her SUV stolen by her boyfriend who has long been addicted to huffing duster. Police found the man huffing stolen duster in a shopping center parking lot. In addition to previous pending criminals cases, the man was charged with first-degree larceny for stealing the car and sixth-degree larceny for shoplifting.

Pennsylvania Man Arrested for Stealing and Abusing Inhalants


 A 29 year old man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania was charged with theft and illegal use of certain solvents and noxious substances on October 12th, 2015. This occurred after he overdosed as a result of huffing compressed air spray. Furthermore, local officials claim that the man reported stealing two cans of air spray.

Man from Poulsbo, Washington Dies after Inhaling Air Duster


A 29 year old man from Poulsbo, Washington fell into cardiac arrest subsequently and died on Saturday October 10th, 2015. He had been taken to Harrison Medical Center after police took him into custody. As of the time the story was written, the police were withholding his name from the public until his next of kin could be located.

According to local reports, he was first discovered in a public restroom by the on duty store attendants. They reported that he was inhaling fumes in a stall to the police. Once the authorities arrived, they took him to the hospital where he was initially seen to be in relatively good health other than some scratches from an unrelated previous incident. However, his condition soon rapidly worsened and he passed away in a matter of hours

Pennsylvania Woman Caught Huffing Under Clothing Rack


According to local police, a woman in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania stole a can of compressed air from a store and huffed it both while hiding underneath a clothing rack and in the parking lot. Reportedly her actions were caught on the store’s surveillance cameras during the September 8th incident.

She was quickly arrested and was taken to Lancaster County Prison. From there she was charged with retail theft and illegal use of a noxious substances and was held on $10,000 bail.

California Parolee Caught Inhaling Aerosol Cans Found in Dumpster

On the morning of Monday August 31st, 2015, police found a 30 year old man hiding behind a dumpster and inhaling the contents of several stolen aerosol cans. Upon seeing this, the police claim that the man, who was on parole for a previous burglary case at the time, was a threat to both himself and others.

As a result, the California man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence and shoplifting. This represents the second time he was brought in for this issue. In 2011, he was arrested for getting high off of paint thinner in Shasta County, California.

Kansas Woman Inhales Computer Cleaner, Gets Instant Frostbite

A 32 year old woman was arrested for abusing toxic vapors after stealing a can of compressed air and inhaling the contents in an aisle of a Johnson City Kansas store.  However, this was after she faced gruesome injuries from her actions on August 29th.

As a result of her inhalant abuse, the woman received instant frostbite throughout much of her face. However, despite the quite extensive damage, she refused medical care, at least initially, when an ambulance arrived following a 911 call from those who witnessed the incident. The Kansas woman was taken to Johnson County Jail although she was soon released on a $350 bond

Illinois woman arrested for huffing and shoplifting

According to police reports, an Illinois woman was arrested for shoplifting and unlawful use of intoxicating compounds at a store on the evening of July 16th. The woman confessed to taking a can of dust cleaner and huffing it in the bathroom of the store to get high. The woman also admitted to removing pills from boxes of cough medicine.

New York Woman Arrested for Shoplifting and Huffing

A 30-year-old woman was arrested earlier this week in Syracuse, NY after she was found in the bushes huffing from a can of air duster. She admitted to stealing more than 19 cans of duster from a nearby Walmart and was subsequently booked on charges of shoplifting, criminal trespass and possession of nitrous oxide with intent to use. As a result, she may face prison time. This is not her first arrest for shoplifting or drug use.

Kentucky woman found half nude, huffing hairspray in drugstore restroom

A 25 year old woman locked herself in the restroom of a local Walgreens.  Police were called and they found the woman “nude from the waist up, seated on the floor inhaling hairspray from a cloth.” She was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and shoplifting.

Huffing Inside and Outside Stores in North Carolina

Wilkesboro Police were called to a Lowes for a report of a possible shoplifter. When they arrived they were told a man had walked out of the store without paying for the can of computer dusting spray in his possession. A witness noted the man had been huffing the product both inside and outside the store.

The man at first denied it but then admitted to stealing the duster and huffing from the product. He was arrested and taken to jail with a $500 bond.

Minnesota Man Huffs in Store and Steals Product

A 22 year old man was arrested after allegedly huffing and then stealing a can of computer dusting spray.

The retail store alerted local police to a “known shoplifter” who had huffed from a can of duster and then concealed two cans of them as he paid for other items. Loss prevention officers at the store noted that previously, he had been witnessed shoplifting 21 times in the store.

Huffing, Shoplifting, and Car Theft in Georgia

A 26-year-old man in Georgia faces charges of car theft, shoplifting, probation violation, and improper use of a substance.

Police were called to investigate a shoplifting report when they found the man inhaling from a computer duster can in his car. Police later found 25 empty cans in the young man's car.

Because the man was highly intoxicated, police took him to the hospital. Police left the man at the emergency room, and they planned on charging him with shoplifting after he received medical attention. The man fled the hospital and found an unlocked car with the keys inside. He drove away from the hospital, but crashed into the woods.

The man then attempted to escape on foot, but the police department's K-9 unit caught up with him. Police learned that the man had been on probation in another county and now faces additional charges.

A 20 year old man was charged with “shoplifting and possession of a toxic chemical to cause a condition of intoxication.” The man has stolen three cans of computer dust remover from a Walgreens and then huffed from the cans in the store parking lot.

Man Targets Dairy Aisle

A 24-year-old male was arrested last Friday after he was caught stealing from a local business. The suspect reportedly took a canister of whipped cream from a dairy aisle shelf and proceeded to 'huff' the nitrous oxide from the can before returning the product to the shelf. He then attempted to leave the store with unpaid merchandise that included “an iPod case, cosmetics, and armbands valued at $32.20.” The suspect was arrested and charged with a felony offense of retail theft due to his numerous prior shoplifting convictions, and is being held in jail on a $15,000 cash bond.
