Tennessee Man Arrested For Huffing Hairspray

A 21-year-old Tennessee man was arrested for huffing hair spray.  Police responded to reports of an intoxicated man making threats and causing a disturbance.  Upon arrival they found the man in his room huffing hairspray with approximately 10 empty bottles of hairspray lying on his bed.  The man was arrested for disorderly conduct and abuse of inhalants.

Body of Missing Arkansas Woman Found, Inhalant Abuse Suspected

On Wednesday September 30^th, the body of a young woman was found. Unfortunately, she passed away in her car in a store’s parking lot. By that point, it had been quite some time since her relatives had reported her missing.

Friends of the 21 year old woman reported that she had a history of inhalant abuse. Additionally, police reported that she had multiple cans of hairspray in the car. However, while police reported that they did not suspect foul play, they are waiting until a coroner’s report is released before they indicate the cause of death.

MIchigan Woman Arrested for Huffing Hairspray

A 22 year old woman was arrested, her third offense of operating under the influence of drugs after she was found unresponsive in her car.  Deputies noticed the car parked on the shoulder of the road with its lights on and windows fogged. They noticed a strong smell of hairspray inside the car and found eight cans inside, half of which were empty. Police also found a receipt showing the woman had bought the products just an hour and 20 minutes prior.

She failed sobriety tests and was arrested for "operating under the influence of drugs, operating with a suspended driver's license and prohibited use of chemical agents." 

Kentucky woman found half nude, huffing hairspray in drugstore restroom

A 25 year old woman locked herself in the restroom of a local Walgreens.  Police were called and they found the woman “nude from the waist up, seated on the floor inhaling hairspray from a cloth.” She was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and shoplifting.   

Wisconsin Teen Caught Huffing "Near Explosive Level of Propane" at Home

A 17 year old male has been charged with two counts of felony burglary and two misdemeanor counts of “intentionally inhaling a hazardous substance” after family members found him huffing on two occasions.

On January 31 officers were called to a home after the homeowner’s daughters had called their father complaining of a strong smell of propane coming from the home.  The father told officers he believed his stepson was huffing propane in the home. Frighteningly, when the fire department arrived, they noted the “level of propane inside the home was at a "near explosive" level.”  They also noted two five-ounce aerosol cans of hairspray and a 10-ounce can of air freshener, which he admitted to huffing, were found empty in the boy’s bedroom. 

Previously on January 24^th the homeowner’s daughters had seen the boy huff two-thirds of a 20-pound tank of propane in the home. He suffered cold burns to his right knuckles and upper left arm during that incident. He said he “learned about huffing propane from the Internet and said that he wasn't trying to harm himself, but only wanted to get high.” He also noted he huffed the propane “by using a credit card and screwdriver to access tanks in a locked garage.”
