A 43-year-old Texas man was arrested for DWI after he allegedly huffed from computer duster spray and crashed his car into a ditch.
Police officers had to use their batons to smash through the back window to get to the driver. The man reached into the passenger's side, pulled a can of duster, and started huffing it. Cell phone video from the accident shows the man stumbling towards the ambulance.

A 22-year-old Montana woman was arrested for huffing and driving with a 5-month old baby in the car. Police were called for a possible drunk driver. They found multiple cans of computer duster in the car. The woman is charged with felony criminal endangerment, felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, and driving with a license suspended or revoked.

A Missouri mother is speaking out against inhalant abuse after losing her 17-year-old daughter to huffing. The young girl's mother found her dead in her bedroom. The girl had been huffing from a can of computer duster. The girl's mother and sister want to spread awareness and education on the dangers of inhalant abuse in order to save another family from experiencing this same loss.

Ohio Woman Arrested for Huffing

A 21-year-old Ohio woman was arrested for huffing. Police were called to a home on complaints of an unruly child. Upon arrival police determined that a 14-year-old child had been huffing a can of duster with the 21-year-old woman.
The woman faces first degree misdemeanor charges for abusing harmful intoxicants and contributing to the unruliness of a minor.

A 33-year-old Michigan man was arrested for huffing in a parking lot. The man was on probation for resisting arrest, and a term of the probation included a ban on huffing from aerosol cans.
Police approached the man's truck in a parking lot. A deputy could see the man in the back seat huffing computer dusters. At first the man refused to unlock the door, but then changed his mind. Police found several other cans of computer duster spray inside the vehicle. The man was arrested and lodged in the county jail.

Phil Eudy, of North Carolina and father of 13-year-old Rebecca Eudy, is speaking out against inhalant abuse. Rebecca died last week after being found in the bathtub of her mother's home in Alabama. A can of computer duster was nearby.
Mr. Eudy, "wants to tell parents everywhere." He believes his daughter never intended to die. That she took a break from watching a movie to take a bath and decided to get a quick "high" by huffing before she got into the bathtub. Investigators told the family that she probably passed out and drowned in the bathtub.
Eudy says that huffing was something he was not aware of or considered a potential hazard for his daughter. Eudy wants to help spread awareness and education to other families and urges parents to look for canisters of household products in their child's room, watch for missing items, or to check and see if items have been moved around.

North Carolina Man Dies in Huffing Incident

A 52 year old, North Carolina man was found dead inside his car in a Walmart parking lot. Police Officers arrived at the parking lot after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle involving a person with some type of medical problem. When Police arrived, they discovered the deceased man in his truck. EMS responded to the scene as well and discovered burns around the mans nostrils that are consistent with huffing. Cans of computer dusting spray were found in the man's car, and video surveillance showed the man buying the duster product inside of Walmart. An autopsy and toxicology report are pending.

after an inhalant abuse related crash. When police arrived on the scene
she was under the influence of computer dusting spray and was still trying to

Her 7 and 8 year old children were in the

He told officers he didn't remember the crash-just remembered someone waking hm up after his vehicle hit the building. In the truck, police found a can of computer duster with the nozzle still wet, indicating someone has just used it. He told officers he had been abusing the product just before the crash. Test Results Awaited in New Jersey Man's Death After Huffing

New Jersey police are waiting for test results to determine the cause of death of a man who passed out after inhaling computer cleaner.
The 41 year-old man was found passed out in the back seat of a taxi cab. He was arrested, examined, and then released. Hours later police received a call for medical assistance. They found the man in cardiac arrest and began performing CPR. He was taken to a local hospital where he died about two hours later. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and is awaiting the results of a toxicology report to determine if inhalants were involved in his death.

Nebraska Huffing Driver Can't Be Charged with DUI

A Nebraska woman's life changed forever when a driver smashed head on into her car. After four surgeries the woman's broken bones are starting to heal, but she is still a patient in a rehabilitation hospital as goes through physical therapy.
The driver of the car that hit her vehicle was under the influence after huffing from computer duster spray. Nebraska state law doesn't allow for the city prosecutor to charge the driver with a DUI. In referring to huffing while driving and Nebraska law, the prosecutor states, "It has the same affect on the body and ability to drive as someone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. But it’s not a drug, it's a chemical compound. Not all chemical compounds are drugs so I can't charge him for under the influence of a drug."
The woman in the accident is working to change state law so that huffing and driving offenses and accidents can be categorized as a DUI. The driver in her accident will be sentenced in September for Willful Reckless Driving and being under the influence of an inhalant. Combined the maximum sentence would be about five months in jail. If huffing had been covered by the DUI law the driver could have faced felony charges for causing severe injury.

An 18 year old female, convicted 2 weeks ago in an inhalant related crash in December, was back in court. In the crash she had been traveling as fast as 75 miles per hour when she blacked out after huffing computer dusting spray. Her car hit another car severely injuring the driver as well as a passenger in her own vehicle.
