St. Louis, MO - A 47-year-old man was arrested for driving while under the influence of canned air. The man has been arrested at least 18 times since the beginning of the year but since there is no law against inhalant misuse in Missouri he has not been charged. The most recent arrested pushed him to seek help at a treatment facility since he does not want addiction to be part of his life.

On March 10, a woman died from Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome. She was huffing in a store parking lot wither her boyfriend, who was transported to the hospital after complaints of feeling ill. The man later learned he had suffered a heart attack.

In Lebanon Missouri, a man drove his vehicle off the road after inhaling from a can of compressed air. A concerned citizen called the police and they found the 45-year-old unresponsive with his head slumped down. No charges have been made yet.

Genevieve man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly being found in a Best Buy bathroom in Cape Girardeau, huffing air duster and refusing to leave. 57-year old Michael Dwayne Ruple was charged with misdemeanor possession of a solvent with intent to induce symptoms and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia...Ruple told Becker he was using air duster, he has been huffing for about two months, and he has a history of drug use."

A Missouri mother is speaking out against inhalant abuse after losing her 17-year-old daughter to huffing. The young girl's mother found her dead in her bedroom. The girl had been huffing from a can of computer duster. The girl's mother and sister want to spread awareness and education on the dangers of inhalant abuse in order to save another family from experiencing this same loss.

A 21-year-old Missouri man died due to inhalant abuse. The man passed away in June 2014. The autopsy report came back with a cause of death from a chemical found in computer dusters. The man's mother says he died within hours of being taken to the emergency room. She says her son was inhaling six cans every day for about a week before a friends took him to the emergency room where he later passed away.

Missouri Woman Crashes Car Twice in One Evening After Huffing Behind the Wheel

A 32 year old woman crashed two different borrowed vehicles in one evening after huffing computer dusting spray.
Just after 10 pm on May 29th police arrived at the scene of the crash and the woman was clutching a can of duster behind the wheel. A highway sign leg was sheared off and the woman couldn't recall what had happened between the crash and when she just previously left a local Wal-Mart. She was examined at the scene, declined medical attention, and was cited and released to a family member. The citations were for "inhalation (of) fumes to cause certain reaction" and "driving while intoxicated/drugged condition."
After being released she borrowed her sister's boyfriend's car and drove to Wal-Mart to obtain more computer dusting spray. After leaving the store, a mere 4 hours after her first crash, she "took out another sign and ran across the road into a ditch", landing 500 feet from the scene of her earlier crash. She was arrested, brought to jail, and cited for "careless driving."

According to police, the man had consumed seven, 24-ounce beers and huffed gasoline fumes before attacking. The man also seemed to experience hallucinations in which he was unable to accurately describe the incident.
Charged in the past with four felony convictions, the man is being held in Greene County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. This carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

When an officer arrived, the offender tried to get away and ended up getting in a small altercation with the policeman. The officer arrested the young man, and later found two cans of aerosol spray in his possession. The offender was charged with resisting/interfering arrest, and possession of a mind-altering substance.

A man in Missouri has been charged with resisting arrest after he fled from police for the third time. The man has a criminal record which includes domestic assault, driving while intoxicated, and endangering the welfare of a child.
On March 15th, police found the man on the ground after he had been huffing. When they tried to arrest him, he ran from police. Two days later, the man attacked law enforcement officers but ran away even after being "Tased."
On April 1st, the man was trying to steal compressed air and fled to the house of "the victim of the previous domestic assault charge." According to police, the man "grabbed several knives" and "said deputies would have to kill him." The man then jumped out of a second story window.

Man Breaks Into Church, Dies From Inhaling Propane

Refrigerant Continues to Grow in Popularity
Theft of refrigerant out of air conditioners continues to stay on a steady rise.
After an entire day of a family's A/C unit was blowing hot air into their residence they called a heating and cooling company to find out what the issue could be.
When a service man arrived he found caps and a plastic bag around the unit. Someone had stolen two pounds worth of refrigerant from the unit to get high.
It cost the family about 150 dollars to correct the situation.
They now have locking service caps on their units.
