Man Found Dead With Aerosol Can in His Mouth

Manhattan, New York: A man was found dead in his apartment surrounded by almost two dozen aerosol cans, one being in his mouth. Huffing the compressed air from the aerosol cans caused his death.

Woman Found Dead Possibly Due to Huffing

Denver, CO: A woman was found unconscious by her father in their home. Medical staff attempted to revive the woman for forty-five minutes to no avail. A can of aerosol was found near her body. Investigators are now looking into whether the can has anything to do with her death.

Teenager's death attributed to huffing gasoline

Aleknagik, AK: A 14-year-old teen was reported missing and later found dead this past Friday. Police located him on the city dock next to an open can of gasoline. An autopsy request has been submitted, but officials believe that huffing contributed to his death.

Mother admits to huffing before her son's death

Racine County, WI: The mother of a 15-year-old Racine County teen admitted to huffing before her son drowned in the pond behind their Wisconsin home. Pauline Sanders has a history of drug abuse as well as child abuse. Empty canisters of compressed air were found near the pond, but it is unclear if they contributed to his death. Investigations are ongoing.

Man Suffers Heart Attack From Huffing

On March 10, a woman died from Sudden Sniffing Death Syndrome. She was huffing in a store parking lot wither her boyfriend, who was transported to the hospital after complaints of feeling ill. The man later learned he had suffered a heart attack.

Michigan Man Sentenced to Six Years in Prison for Huffing Related Crash

A man was sentenced to six years in prison for causing a traffic death after abusing inhalants. Police state that he tested positive for difluoroethane, the active ingredient in aerosol cans. He collided with a truck while high, killing the woman's husband. The man pleaded guilty to causing death while driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and driving with a suspended license.

Man Facing 16 Years In Prison in Huffing Related Crash

A Washington teen was convicted of vehicular homicide and three counts of vehicular assault. The young man caused a car crash after huffing, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old girl and injuries to three others. The driver who caused the accident was not injured. After the crash, he tested positive for difluoroethane, a chemical found in computer duster. He is facing 16 years in prison.

A Vermont man was charged with gross negligent operation for crashing into three pedestrians. One died from his injuries. The man initially told police that the accident was caused by a stuck floor mat. Authorities later stated that the crash was due to huffing.

Woman Pleads Guilty to Causing Traffic Crash After Huffing

Kansas woman pleads guilty of causing a traffic crash resulting in the death of a 77-year-old woman. Witnesses stated that her driving was erratic and was seen huffing. A blood test after the crash showed refrigerant in her system. In exchange for pleading guilty, the charges for reckless driving and abusing toxic vapors were dropped.

Man in Illinois Found Dead in a Ditch Due to Inhalants

In Illinois, a man was found dead in a ditch near a strip mall parking lot. The 43-year-old's body showed no signs of trauma and police found numerous cans of duster surrounding him in the ditch. The cause of death is still pending, but they suspect it was an overdose. According to the man's family, he was on his way to recovery and beating his addiction. A family friend talked to him a month before his death and claimed that he was doing great. They are not sure what lead to his probable relapse.

In San Juan, PR a 28-year-old man died in the hospital after huffing and driving. The man was thrown from the vehicle where police found cans of inhalants and whippets. The driver was not wearing a seat belt. This is the first inhalant related death in San Juan.

Wisconsin Man Faces Charges After Huffing Accident Results in Pedestrian Killed

A Wisconsin man is facing charges of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the death of a 17-year-old.   Police say the man was inhaling computer duster spray minutes before his truck crossed over the median and struck and killed a pedestrian. Smoking devices used for smoking marijuana and a can of computer duster spray were found in the truck.
