Minnesota Man Charged After Huffing and Driving

St. Cloud, MN - A 28-year-old man, Charlie Ray Barnett, has been charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of violating a domestic abuse no contact order. Police were called to the scene to respond to complaints of someone driving erratically. According to witnesses he was driving over the speed limit and made no effort to slow down to prevent the crash. Barnett was driving and crossed into the over lane hitting a vehicle with two people killing both. Witnesses say that Barnett acted strange after the crash and had bloodshot eyes and police found cans of dust cleaner in the car. The car Barnett was driving belonged to a woman who had filed a no contact order against him. Barnett violated the order earlier on the day of the accident and stole the woman's keys. Barnett is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.

Florida Mother Arrested for Huffing and Driving

Clearwater, FL - A 29-year-old mother was arrested for huffing and driving with her 1-year-old daughter in the backseat. The woman drove two blocks away from her home before hitting two mailboxes, running a stop sign, and crashing into a palm tree. When police arrived on the scene she was unconscious and they found an air duster can cold on the floorboard. The woman admitted to huffing from the air duster but claimed it was hours ago but since the can was cold police had reason to believe she had been huffing while driving. The child was uninjured but the mother will be charged with inhalation of chemicals and child abuse.

Pennsylvania Man Arrested Twice in a Day for Huffing

Scranton, PA - A man was arrested twice in a day for huffing. The first time police found him unconscious in the grass outside of a local Sam's Club holding a can of air duster. When he woke up police asked him why he was in the grass and he responded "because I'm high." He was then arrested and released later that day, only to go to and purchase more air duster and roll in grass in a different location. Police then arrested him again.

Florida Man Arrested for Huffing and Driving

Gainsville, FL - A 33-year-old man was arrested for huffing and driving after officials found him slumped over the wheel of his car while holding a can of air duster. Officials knocked on the window of his car but the man proceeded to wake up, inhale from the can, and drive off before he hit two vehicles, a mailbox and finally came to a stop. They were then able to arrest him for property damage, driving without a license, inhaling harmful chemicals and attempting to flee police.

New Mexico Man Kills Woman While Driving and Huffing

Farmington, NM -  A 23-year-old man is accused of killing a 76-year-old woman after driving while under the influence of air duster. The man inhaled from an air duster two to three times before driving off and side swiping a mini-van then driving into the victims yard striking her. He then proceeded to drive through a brick fence and hit a home three houses down before stopping. When questioned the man said he blacked out after inhaling the air duster and woke up after the crash. Despite passing the sobriety test the man was acting erratically according to officials.

Michigan Woman Arrested for Huffing Dust Cleaner in Costco

Bloomfield Township, MI - An 18-year-old woman was arrested for theft and inhalant abuse in a Costco in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. The manager found the woman huffing a can of dust cleaner in the woman's bathroom. The woman later confessed to the theft of the dust cleaner and was arrested by local police.

Ohio Youth Sentenced to Prison for Aggravated Vehicular Manslaughter

An 18-year-old man passed out while driving after huffing, killing his 16-year-old friend on November 8, 2015. He has received a six year prison sentence and a fifty year suspension on his licence for aggravated vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated, and tampering with evidence for attempting to hide the can of compressed air.

Man in Illinois Found Dead in a Ditch Due to Inhalants

In Illinois, a man was found dead in a ditch near a strip mall parking lot. The 43-year-old's body showed no signs of trauma and police found numerous cans of duster surrounding him in the ditch. The cause of death is still pending, but they suspect it was an overdose. According to the man's family, he was on his way to recovery and beating his addiction. A family friend talked to him a month before his death and claimed that he was doing great. They are not sure what lead to his probable relapse.

A 19-year-old woman in Warren, Michigan hit 4 cars and injured two people after huffing a can of air duster and driving in a parking lot at high speeds. The charges against her include operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, driving with an invalid license, and failing to stop at the scene of a major injury accident.

Florida Doctor Accused of Huffing and Driving for Third Time

A 61-year-old Florida podiatrist is accused of driving while under the influence of inhalants for the third time, following a ticket for reckless driving. The doctor was arrested after swerving off the road and damaging a light pole, and was seen throwing a can of electronics air duster into the woods. Police report that he had three incidents of driving involving duster cans in one week. The doctor was only arrested one of the three times because huffing effects are difficult to identify and typically only last 10-20 minutes, although they can kill immediately.

Michigan Man Found Huffing Duster In Parking Lot

A 19-year-old Michigan man was charged with prohibited use of a chemical agent and driving without a valid license following a tip to the police of a man spraying his face with an unknown substance in a Family Fare parking lot. Officers arrived and found him inhaling a can of duster. Paramedics were called to administer medical attention, and the man was subsequently arrested.
