Ohio Man Arrested for Huffing

Strongsville, OH - A man was found huffing computer duster in a Walmart by local police and later arrested. When police arrived on the scene, the man pulled out a knife and held it to his throat prompting officers to tase him to avoid injury. He was later taken to the hospital and remains under police guard.

Trial Starts for Woman Accused of Fatal Car Crash

Bowling Green, OH: A woman has began trial for a fatal 2016 car crash. A case of beer, a bag of marijuana and a can of duster were found inside the vehicle. She is facing seven counts including two counts of involuntary manslaughter, one count of reckless homicide, one count of aggravated vehicular homicide, one count of possession of cocaine, one count of driving under a financial responsibility law suspension or cancellation and one count of operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance.

Man faces felony charge for inhalant abuse

Youngstown, OH: A man was charged with a felony of abusing harmful intoxicants after police found him behind Target surrounded by nine compressed air cans. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and then transferred to the Mahoning County jail.

An Ohio man is being accused of leaving his young children without supervision to huff from an air duster. He is charged with abuse of harmful intoxicants and child endangering. His mother found him unresponsive and called the authorities. The man told police he waited until his mother arrived before beginning to huff.

A woman was found passed out in her bathroom by police after missing a meeting with her landlord. She had been huffing computer duster. Her one-year-old was left unattended. She has been charged with child endangering and abusing harmful intoxicants. She has been convicted of abusing harmful intoxicants three previous times. The child has been taken in by relatives.

Ohio Youth Sentenced to Prison for Aggravated Vehicular Manslaughter

An 18-year-old man passed out while driving after huffing, killing his 16-year-old friend on November 8, 2015. He has received a six year prison sentence and a fifty year suspension on his licence for aggravated vehicular homicide, driving while intoxicated, and tampering with evidence for attempting to hide the can of compressed air.

Man Crashes into a Garage after Huffing

A man in Ohio faces charges of driving under the influence and operation without being in reasonable control of a vehicle after crashing into a garage. The 44-year-old was huffing while driving and caused a significant amount of damage. The man seemed out of it and didn't realize what he had done. It's unclear what substance he was huffing.

Ohio Man Causes Fatal Wreck While High on Inhalants

A Westerville, Ohio man is given 7 years in prison after causing a fatal wreck while being under the influence of an inhalant. The man admitted to aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault after huffing from a can of air duster and killing a veteran in a head on collision. In addition to his sentence, his license has been suspended for 25 years and he has been ordered to pay $33,837 dollars to the late veteran's wife, who was in the vehicle as well.

Man High on Duster Kills Veteran in Car Crash

A 27-year-old man driving 100 miles per hour killed a war veteran in a head-on collision on Monday.

According to the patrol's written report of the crash, troopers found a can of computer duster between the man's leg and his car's center console. The receipt showed the man had bought it just minutes earlier at the nearby Walmart, near the entrance to the highway where the crash occurred. The man has been charged with driving without a license, aggravated vehicle homicide charges and two counts of aggravated vehicular assault.

Ohio Man Burned After Huffing Related Fire

A 20-year-old Ohio man has burns over 65% of his body after huffing gasoline.  When fire fighters arrived to the home they found the man naked in the living room.  The man appeared disoriented and
starting back away from the first responders.

The man had been huffing gasoline in the basement of the home where there was a water heater and furnace.  There was a flash fire, mostly contained around the mattress the man was sitting on.  A water pipe burst put out the fire before crews arrived, possibly saving both the man and the house.

There were two adults and two children also inside the home, but they were safely evacuated.  The man is listed in critical condition.

Ohio Woman Arrested for Huffing

A 21-year-old Ohio woman was arrested for huffing.  Police were called to a home on complaints of an unruly child. Upon arrival police determined that a 14-year-old child had been huffing a can of duster with the 21-year-old woman.

The woman faces first degree misdemeanor charges for abusing harmful intoxicants and contributing to the unruliness of a minor.

Ohio Woman Huffs and Drives Causing Accident

A 47-year-old Ohio woman was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and abusing a harmful intoxicant.  The woman was found slumped over her steering wheel after she rammed into two parked vehicles, one that had two elderly people sitting inside it, in a parking lot.  The woman admitted to officers and medics that she had been huffing from a compressed-air duster before driving.  The woman also told police that she had previously been arrested earlier that week for a similar accident.

Ohio Man Arrested for Huffing

Port Clinton Police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly huffing out of compressed gas cans earlier this week. Police responded to an anonymous report that a man was seen outside of a laundry mat huffing something out of cans and appeared intoxicated. The man was found with a compressed gas can in one hand and a second in his pocket. He was charged with abusing harmful intoxicants and was taken to the Ottowa County Jail where he remains on $5000 bond.

Ohio Woman Huffing in Store Parking Lot

On the evening of June 3, a witness noticed a woman huffing from a computer duster in a store parking lot. When a police officer approached the car, she "inhaled fumes and held them in before slumping over and becoming unconscious and unresponsive." She was transported to the hospital and will be charged with abusing harmful intoxicants.

The police blotter notes a 36 year old man was arrested earlier this week after an inhalant abuse incident.  As police found him laying under a tree, he began growling at the officers.  He admitted he had been huffing from computer dusters.

Ohio Man Threatens Cops and Punches Dog In the Face After Huffing

A 52 year old man erupted in a violent spat after huffing paint thinner.  When police arrived at his home he used a flashlight to smash one of the windows. He then threatened to shoot the officers so they called in a SWAT team which led to a 4 hour standoff. 

He wielded a large kitchen knife, hurled a knife at one person, chased another with a nail-spiked plank, and punched a pit bull in the face. He was taken into custody and then tried to kick out the windows of the police car.  He was arrested for felonious assault, aggravated menacing, cruelty to animals, and criminal damaging.

Ohio Mother Abuses Inhalants and Endangers 6 Month Old

A 22 year old mother has been arrested for abusing inhalants in front of her 6 month old baby. Police were called to the apartment for a welfare check and they found the baby crying near the woman who appeared to be high. She is facing charges of abusing harmful intoxicants and child endangering.
