Two Maine Men Steal Duster and Crash into Store

Police in Maine arrest two men for stealing air duster and huffing. The 21-year-old driver, inhaled the aerosol computer duster before crashing the car into the side of a store.The 36-year-old passenger went into the store and stole the duster before giving it to the driver. Both men suffered minor injuries. The driver has been charged with driving to endanger while the passenger has been charged with shoplifting.

Woman in Texas Arrested for Huffing Dust Cleaner

A 40-year-old woman in South Austin, Texas went into a store, stole a cake and began to eat it before huffing from a canister of dust cleaner. The woman was arrested and charged for inhalant abuse in a store.

Pennsylvania Man Found Huffing Inside Walmart Pharmacy

Via the Times-Herald in Pennsylvania:

Earlier this month, police were called to a Walmart for a case of  "retail theft, public intoxication and a possible medical emergency."

Officers found the man semi-conscious, lying on the ground near the store's pharmacy entrance, bleeding from the face and hands with three cans of computer duster beside him. He was treated at the scene and issued a criminal summons.

Indiana Woman Arrested After Huffing Duster and Stealing Cosmetics

A 50 year old woman was arrested after Wal-Mart surveillance video caught her huffing computer duster and stealing cosmetics from the store.  Police noticed her speech was slurred from inhaling the product and she was arrested and charged with theft and inhaling a toxic vapor.

Virginia Man Arrested for Huffing

Police arrested two men in the parking lot of Wal-Mart after they were suspected of huffing from an aerosol can.  The men admitted to police that they were huffing from the can of duster.

One man was released but the other was deemed to be too intoxicated from huffing the duster.  He was taken into custody for being drunk in public.  He was charged with one misdemeanor count of inhaling drugs and one misdemeanor count of public intoxication.

New York Woman Arrested for Shoplifting and Huffing

A 30-year-old woman was arrested earlier this week in Syracuse, NY after she was found in the bushes huffing from a can of air duster. She admitted to stealing more than 19 cans of duster from a nearby Walmart and was subsequently booked on charges of shoplifting, criminal trespass and possession of nitrous oxide with intent to use. As a result, she may face prison time. This is not her first arrest for shoplifting or drug use.

North Dakota Man Arrested for Huffing in Walmart Parking Lot

A 32-year-old man was arrested in Fargo, ND, where he was found huffing from a can of computer duster, while sitting in his car in a Walmart parking lot. A Walmart employee noticed the man in the parking lot and alerted local police. Police found the man holding one can of computer duster, with three other empty cans in the front seat of his vehicle.

He was charged with inhalation of vapors.

New York Man Huffing In Local Wal-Mart

A 28 year-old, Darien, New York man faces charges after he allegedly stole a can of duster and was huffing it inside a local Wal-Mart.  He lost consciousness and fell inside of the store, "breaking his nose and at least one tooth."  After regaining consciousness the man left the store without paying for the duster.  He then allegedly tried to physically obstruct officers during the investigation. The man was charged with unlawful possession of toxic vapors, petit larceny, and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration.

Deadly Crash in Pennsylvania Due to Inhalant Abuse

A 22 year old woman was recently arraigned on charges related to a deadly crash in August 2012.   She was inhaling computer duster behind the wheel when she crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into another vehicle. The 25 year old driver of that car was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Police found two cans of the duster in her car.  Her boyfriend, a passenger in the car at the time, told police they had purchased the duster at Wal-Mart, the woman inhaled from the can in the store’s parking lot, just before driving off. She also huffed from the product at a red light just before the crash.  She was charged with: aggravated assault, homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, driving under the influence, involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangering and illegal use of solvents, along with several summary traffic offenses.
