An officer found a woman huffing nitrous oxide in a parking lot after a citizen informed the police of her suspicious behavior. Police found other drugs on her persons. She was charged with possession of a restricted substance, possession of a hallucinogenic substance, illegal possession of MDMA and drug paraphernalia, as well as operating a vehicle with a suspended licences.

A 41-year-old Bolingbrook man was arrested after admitting to huffing from a keyboard duster can at an adult book store.
The man was arrested and charged with unlawful use of an intoxicating compound.
Authorities then searched his vehicle charging him with unlawful possesion of a controlled substance after finding numerous prescription pills in the vehicle.

Police Find Tanks of Nitrous Oxide

A 45 year-old Ohio man was charged with the illegal sale and use of Nitrous Oxide, 3rd degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (due to a suspended license), and failure to wear a seat belt following a Labor Day traffic stop in suburban New York. The driver, who was leaving an annual music festival, was initially pulled over by local police for not wearing a seatbelt. However, upon a routine inspection officers discovered 18 tanks of Nitrous Oxide in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and jailed on $1,250 bail.

Driver Passes Out In Traffic

West Virginia Police issuing a routine vehicle inspection point over the weekend discovered an unmoving vehicle in line to be the cause of traffic back up and delays. Police found the vehicle’s 18 year-old male driver passed out at the wheel along with an unconscious female passenger. Officers believe both were “huffing inhalants” and taking prescription drugs in the car, as a bottle of Oxycodone was recovered from the driver’s possession.
According to police reports the teen driver was also involved in an accident just hours before being discovered unconscious, wherein extensive damage was elicited to a chain link fence bordering a local car dealership. The driver is currently in jail, and is being held on charges related to a handful of crimes including; DUI, simple possession, fleeing the scene of an accident, and driving without a license.

Teen Caught 'Huffing' In Commuter Lot

An 18 year-old male was arrested last Thursday evening on charges of “possessing an intoxicating inhalant and inhaling its fumes.” Police found the suspect asleep in a nearby commuter parking lot and notified paramedics. When medical personnel reached the scene, the suspect woke up extremely disheveled and began walking towards an intersection adjacent to the parking lot. A paramedic witnessed the suspect “take a 10-ounce can and inhale it through his noise.” The teen has been charged with illegally inhaling a substance.

Possession Extends Probation

A Watertown, New York man accused of breaking into “Watertown Builders Supply, in March 2005 and stealing $650 in tools was resentenced to a year in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building” after violating his probation in connection with the 2005 robbery of a local hardware store.
He will serve an additional year on top of his prior 5 year conviction due to his illegal possession of a noxious gas and suspected 'huffing' of paint thinner earlier last month.
Many county and state governments across the nation are begginning to impose tougher preemptive measures to eradicate improper use of inhalants.
