Maryland Man Arrested for Huffing after Pursuit

On Tuesday, June 18th, a Maryland man was arrested after huffing inhalants and blocking a roadway in the Normandy Shopping Center in Ellicott City. When police arrived to the scene, the man refused to open his car door and sped off leading police on a chase down Furrow Avenue. The chase ended when the man drove his car into a police cruiser after which he was arrested and found in possession of illegal drugs.

The man was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, drug charges and numerous traffic violations.

Woman Behind Bars After Stealing & Huffing Dust Remover

A maintenance crew at a local walmart found a 38-year-old woman lying on the floor of a handicapped stall.

When police arrived they found the woman on the ground, muttering, with three cans of dust remover in her reach.

The deputy heard a hissing sound followed by a can hitting the floor. The woman then got up and tried to exit unsteadily.

She walked to the next stall and vomited. She already had vomit on her chest. When asked for identification she opened her purse to reveal three cans of dust remover.

The woman was also arrested for huffing charges in January and March, and was found guilty in both cases.

Woman Crashes Into Utility Pole After Disorientation From Gas Cleaner

A 30-year-old Cambridge woman was charged with OUI after crashing her vehicle into a utility pole.

The woman told police she had been huffing gas cleaner and smoking pot while driving which led her become disoriented and crash into the utility pole.

Police found a glass pipe with a green substance and a can of cleaner inside the vehicle.

The woman was arrested on four different charges that include: smelling a substance with toxic vapors, OUI of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stay in marked lines.

"Huffing Teens" Crash Van into Casino

Two teenage girls were arrested after they crashed a van into a local casino. The girls, both 15, had been huffing dust remover.

Deputies said that the girls had been waiting in the van while one of the girl's mother went into the casino. One of the girls got out of the car and entered the casino while her friend circled the parking lot.

The driver blacked out, hitting three curbs, a security vehicle and then traveling more than 100 feet before crashing into the casino.

The driver told Sheriffs Deputies that in addition to huffing she had taken prescription pills, and didn't know what they would do. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, drug complaints, and destruction of property.

The other girl was arrested for drug complaints as well as obstruction of justice after attempting to hide the can of dust remover.

Driver Crashes Car Into House

A news report out of Bismarck, North Dakota details an unusual car accident- one that has left three local males facing multiple drug charges, including illegal “inhalation of vapors” and drug possession, as well as extensive property damage fines.

Last weekend around midnight a car driven by one of the men along with two passengers veered off the road at a neighborhood intersection; driving over lawns and eventually striking the side of a house. Police reports document that both the driver and his passengers were abusing inhalants at the time of the crash.

No one was seriously injured in the accident. However, the homeowner was shaken and “absolutely horrified” by the damage, recalling how he was awoken by the noise of the crash. The collision damaged the foundation of the house, shattered several windows, and broke pictures hanging on the wall.

Pounds of Nitrous Oxide Found In Car

This past weekend, four individuals from Pennsylvania were pulled over and are now facing felony drug charges. Pounds of nitrous oxide gas were found among other contents in the car.
