A recent huffing incident in a homeless camp in Springfield led one thirty-eight year old man to stab another man in the camp on Tuesday night. According to police, the man had consumed seven, 24-ounce beers and huffed gasoline fumes before attacking. The man also seemed to experience hallucinations in which he was unable to accurately describe the incident.
Charged in the past with four felony convictions, the man is being held in Greene County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. This carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

After Huffing, Man Attacks Cars with Machete in Arizona

On November 1st, an Arizona man who had been abusing inhalants attacked multiple cars with a machete in east Flagstaff. The 22 year old man had been previously arrested for hitting two people with bullet fragments after firing a gun into the ground, last year. His fifth arrest, the individual appeared to be "crazy," and harassed surrounding officers. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident.

Women Beats Son After Discovering His Inhalant Abuse
A mother is in custody after allegedly beating and biting her 19-year-old son upon the discovery that he huffs dust remover.
The son received blows to the face prompting him to flee their apartment.
The mother then found out his whereabouts and ended up tackling him to the ground where she then bit him.
The woman had a blood alcohol content of 0.155 during a breath test after the incident.
The mother faces 1st degree burglary, 2nd degree harrassment and domestic violence.

Man Huffs Then Uses Paint Can to Break Man's Nose

Yesterday, a 33 year old man was arrested for an inhalant related incident that had occurred the previous day.
The man had been huffing paint when he “became involved in a physical altercation with another man.” He hit the man in the face with the paint can, breaking his nose. He was arrested on charges of “aggravated and simple battery.”

Huffing Teen Punches Dad, Police Called

Last week, police responded to a call of a 19 year old who “punched his dad when the father confronted him about huffing an aerosol can of dust destroyer.”
His father “had a minor facial injury but did not require treatment.” The teen was arrested and charged with “assault and battery and inhaling a toxic substance.” He was released to his father’s custody.

Man Assaulted After Friend Huffs

Earlier this month, a 28 year-old man assaulted another individual after huffing. The 28 year old “went shopping at a retail store” while his friend waited in the car. He "returned with a spray can and took it out of the shopping bag and huffed twice."
He then started hitting his friend. Once Police arrived he was arrested and cited for battery.

A 52 year old man was arrested after “allegedly sniffing carburetor cleaner and striking a woman.”
The woman told police that he “frequently sniffs inhalants; the two got into an argument after he began spitting on the floor. His yelling and swearing became worse when she would not clean up the floor, and he allegedly hit her in the jaw with his elbow.”
He was charged with third-degree assault.
