Man faces felony charge for inhalant abuse

Youngstown, OH: A man was charged with a felony of abusing harmful intoxicants after police found him behind Target surrounded by nine compressed air cans. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and then transferred to the Mahoning County jail.

Teenager's death attributed to huffing gasoline

Aleknagik, AK: A 14-year-old teen was reported missing and later found dead this past Friday. Police located him on the city dock next to an open can of gasoline. An autopsy request has been submitted, but officials believe that huffing contributed to his death.

Mother admits to huffing before her son's death

Racine County, WI: The mother of a 15-year-old Racine County teen admitted to huffing before her son drowned in the pond behind their Wisconsin home. Pauline Sanders has a history of drug abuse as well as child abuse. Empty canisters of compressed air were found near the pond, but it is unclear if they contributed to his death. Investigations are ongoing.

Car fire caused by compressed air leaves one injured and one dead

Greeley, CO: A woman was pronounced dead and a man was hospitalized after being rescued from a car fire. After huffing canisters of compressed air, the two tried to light a cigarette and the car set on fire.The incident remains under investigation, however the fire is believed to have been caused by the compressed air in the dusters found on the car floorboards.

Man arrested after huffing outside Walmart

Bluffton, SC: A man was arrested after being found on a bench outside of the Bluffton Walmart, surrounded by a dozen cans of Dust Off. He denied treatment from EMS, but admitted to purchasing all of the products around midnight and inhaling them over the course of the next seven and a half hours.
