Illinois Man Dies of Inhalant Abuse


A 47-year-old Illinois man died from huffing computer duster spray.  The man was arrested for inhaling compressed gas in the parking lot of a Walmart and for driving under the influence. He was taken to the Police Department where he began complaining of shortness of breath. An ambulance was called and the man was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Florida Woman Found Huffing Propane


A 45-year-old Florida woman was arrested after police found her without any clothes on and huffing from a propane tank.  Police say the woman held a lighter over the tank when they entered, but a deputy was able to kick the tank away from her.

Tennessee Man Arrested For Huffing Hairspray


A 21-year-old Tennessee man was arrested for huffing hair spray.  Police responded to reports of an intoxicated man making threats and causing a disturbance.  Upon arrival they found the man in his room huffing hairspray with approximately 10 empty bottles of hairspray lying on his bed.  The man was arrested for disorderly conduct and abuse of inhalants.

Texas Woman Arrested or Huffing While Driving


A 36-year-old Texas woman has been arrested for driving while huffing from a can of duster. After causing a head on collision with another vehicle, the woman tried to continue inhaling from the can. The woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated, a third degree felony.

Wisconsin Man Faces Charges After Huffing Accident Results in Pedestrian Killed


A Wisconsin man is facing charges of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with the death of a 17-year-old.   Police say the man was inhaling computer duster spray minutes before his truck crossed over the median and struck and killed a pedestrian. Smoking devices used for smoking marijuana and a can of computer duster spray were found in the truck.

Pennsylvania Woman Arrested for Huffing


In Downington, Pennsylvania a 37-year-old woman was arrested after being caught huffing from an aerosol can in her car. Police found other full and empty aerosol cans in her vehicle. She has been charged with public drunkenness and other various drug charges.

13-year-old Girl Treated for Sniffing Glue


A 13-year-old girl in Fiji was treated for substance abuse which involved glue. She was taken in when she was found overdosed. Sources say there has been a rise in the amount of children coming into metal institutions in what appears to be the beginning stages of substance abuse, especially glue.
