Indiana Man Dies from Huffing

A 34-year-old man died after huffing. Police and paramedics arrived at his home early that morning. Police saw him huffing from an aerosol can, the man became combative when police took the can away. Two tasers were reportedly required to subdue and handcuff him. He was taken by police to the emergency room but was pronounced dead shortly after. An autopsy report will be available within a few weeks. The man had a long history of drug abuse.

Nitrous Oxide Triggers Fatal Fall

According to East Lansing police, a 25-year-old man is dead after he fell and hit his head while inhaling nitrous oxide in his apartment Saturday night. Witnesses disclosed to authorities that the victim, identified as William Andrew Briton of Ortonville, was consuming large quantities of alcohol and ‘huffing’ nitrous oxide up until his fatal fall- “falling forward and striking his head while inhaling nitrous.”
Rescue workers were unable to resuscitate Briton at the scene. County medical examiners conducted an autopsy yesterday to determine Briton’s exact cause of death. Additional details will be released as they become available.

Death Deemed Preventable

Employees at a local Lufkin, TX repair and mechanics store stumbled upon the body of a former employee Monday morning, a 40 year old Lufkin man. Although Police will not officially determine the cause of death until final autopsy results are released; it is clear that the victim was actively ‘huffing’ a common type of refrigerator and air conditioning coolant.
Found with a can of coolant and “a black garbage bag over his head” investigators confidently presume the victim was inhaling the substance at the time of his death.
Police were still awaiting final autopsy results upon publication of Lufkin Daily’s original report. ACE will continue to investigate this tragic incident; providing follow up information as it becomes available.
