An Oklahoma woman was recently charged with child abuse, child neglect, and endangerment after passing out while huffing and leaving her infant child laying next to her on the floor.
The woman was found unresponsive on the floor of her home in Oklahoma City. When she finally awoke, the woman took another hit of a computer duster and passed out again. Police also found a stash of "Pirate's Booty" potpourri in her pocket, along with a pipe that is used to smoke it.

Vermont Mother Charged with Child Endangerment After Huffing
Via the Rutland Herald in Vermont:
A 22 year old woman had denied charges she endangered her children earlier this month and caused multiple vehicle crashes last year after she had allegedly been abusing inhalants.
She was charged with a “felony count of endangering a child under the age of 2, two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to a child, five misdemeanor counts of careless or negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a charge of leaving the scene of a crash.” Her conditions of release included a curfew at her new address and no contact with her three children.
In early January police were called to her apartment by the father of one her children. He said he came to his 4 year old daughter’s birthday party and found her mother face down on her bed huffing an aerosol can. He took his daughter and when police arrived they found two young children pulling food from the refrigerator while their mother was huffing behind a closed door.
The other charges involve a series of crashes last fall in which she had admitted to huffing computer dusting spray.

Texas Woman Huffs Spray Paint in front of Daughter

A Texas woman was placed on three years deferred adjudication for huffing in front of her 6-year-old daughter.
In 2010, a police officer observed that the Wichita Falls woman “appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or an inhalant” while sitting on a porch. When police inspected the house, they noticed strong fumes that her daughter was exposed to. The woman later confessed to huffing spray paint.
She pleaded guilty to endangering a child.

Earlier this week, a 31 year-old woman and 34-year old man admitted to huffing paint and were arrested for endangering two children.
Police pulled the woman over for a broken taillight and she noted that she was out looking for her children who had gone looking for their dog. In the home, police found “trash throughout the house, missing appliances and only a loaf of bread to eat. Electricity and water at the home were also turned off.”

Mom Huffs Hairspray in Car in Front of Children

On January 7th, a 25 year-old woman was caught allegedly huffing hair spray through a towel with her two children, both younger than 2, inside her vehicle.
Police found a “dozen cans of aerosol hair spray” inside the car and she was indicted on “two counts of endangering a child.”
