Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada - The White Buffalo Youth Inhalant Center has reopened in their new location in the Muskoday First Nation. The center aims to help young girls, ages 12 to 17, with their abuse of inhalants. Both the center and the community members of the Muskoday First Nation are excited for the move to their area as they feel the center will have a positive influence on local youths. The new partnership also emphasizes their new approach to treating substance abuse with holistic medicine.

St. Louis County, MO - A man was arrested in Walmart by local police for theft and abuse of aerosols. This individual has had interactions with authorities two dozen times in this year alone. His latest incident has sparked a discussion about proper responses for repeat offenders since there is a larger issue at play, addiction. The county counselor highlighted the options individuals struggling with addition have in the legal system such as, referring them to proper treatment facilities and other resources.

Repeat Gasoline Huffer Arrested in Britain

A British man is so addicted to inhaling gasoline that he has been “sent to prison due to his inability to stay away from fuel pumps.”
On December 30th he was caught twice trying to steal gasoline from local stations. He was arrested, sentenced to 16 months in prison, and ordered to pay $180 to cover damages he caused to the equipment.

the past but at one point he was “turned away because he wreaked so strongly of
gas that he was deemed a fire hazard.” At one point in previous years he had “sneaked
on to the same forecourt 51 times to steal fuel.” The article also notes that according to
Addiction Treatment magazine, inhalant abuse is on the rise.
